Seeking Avalon (2013)

The withered hills crumble and dust the sea
A rippling dance without song
Isles of men perch lightly
Awaiting a call from beyond

And still we fear…

The grass falls down and the leaves grow up
The lake’s in the trees and the sky’s in the seas

And we all seek Avalon

Annwfn lures and calls us
Tales of long days and long nights
Remember the air of the harp
As it sings of noble eternity

And we all seek Avalon

Humanoid (2018)

It is strange to be always envious;
to be always looking upon others
and craving that simplicity of spirit.
And yet simplicity is surely inferior.
To stand apart is to stand above.

To look, as a stranger,
upon the interests and dreams
of such lesser creatures –
and still be envious of those dreams,
is to question value and worth.

For within that simplicity
is an attainable happiness.
To be almost human;
to neither belong nor stand apart
is to be eternally unwell.
